Coeymans Town Court receives a high volume of speeding tickets from I-87 of New York State's Thruway. Most speeding and traffic tickets are prosecuted by the Town Attorney for Coeymans. The Albany County District Attorney prosecutes criminal and DWI matters. Court generally meets on Thursday morning for traffic matters.David Soares is the current elected District Attorney and his term runs through 2016.
